ARTWORK
Lately distances have shortened, we can embrace the world and the universe instantly with knowledge and images in the advanced technology of today. Our horizons get away from us and broaden at an endless dimension.Then, "What is next?", "Is there an endpoint?", "What's after that?". I always think of the beyond. I try to extend to the future in the lap of the endless universe. My designs drag me forward. They aLways move me to other places. I become new. And mostly I take refuge in this concept! lt always takes me to the truth. Then, what is the truth? Is it the mother earth? YES. Earth is the softest, hardest, most vulnerable material surrendering to human sensitivity and thoughts. The moment you touch clay, you surrender to it and it to you. And you carry each other to infinity.
VIEWS ON TURKISH CERAMICS
It is not easy to create art works or to be an artist. lt pleases us if young people, aiming at doing so,wish to take benefit of our experience and views. Be lieving that those who follow us will be better than us, I encourage and guide them. It is very important for galleries to open their doors to these young ceramicists; that the number of new museums increases and selected works of our esteemed artists are displayed in such museums and hence, our artists are archived and these shows are transformed into traveling ones, for the advancement of art. Artist he mirror of the culture level of anation. Our first stop when we visit a country is the museums. The promotion of a country can also occur through cultural values.
